Maths Lab

It is general belief that Mathematics is a difficult subject and that the subject is meant only for persons of higher mental ability and higher intellect. In order to make Mathematics  an interesting subject a joyful experience, A Mathematical laboratory has been setup in K.V-2 Sirsa.Which helps the students to understand the concept clearly and provides them platform for creativity.  As we all know establishment of Mathematics Lab. has been made mandatory by CBSE from the current session and 20% marks have been earmarked for Lab. Work. The Mathematics Laboratories in this vidyalaya has been made by activity of students with the help of Teacher, which helps towards joyful learning. Charts and Models are being made by students.

The list of related material in the Vidyalaya Mathematics Lab. is as under: -
1. Geometry box for demonstration by the teachers.
2. Graph chart on plastic sheet with proper hangingarrangement (for demonstration by the teachers).

Measuring tape, Stencil, Wooden board, Spike Abacus, Set of cups, Beads, Hammer, CBSE Mathematics manual for Ninth Class, Mathematics Kit - containing different types of scales, cone, cylinderical shape, rectangle, cube, beads, iron rods, circular discs etc., Pair of scissors, Paper cutter , Set of sketch pans (coloured), 50 feet measuring tape, weight box (0-100 gms), weighing balance, Prism, circular discs, Nails with small heads, Rubber band marker, Graph paper, Glazed paper, set of pencils, gum, fevicol, ruled sheet, coloured thread, white thread, eraser, geometry boxes for students, Nose plier, Plastic cubes and cuboids (80 No.), Compass, Bunch of coloured papers, rectangular sheets of coloured paper marker.

Teacher show these charts and students understand the concept very easily. Modle related to Important and typical mathematical concepts are being made by students. Teacher properly guide them. Teacher demonstrate Modals to all classes related to their topic. Students also make project  with the help of paper cutting and folding method. Students of Class-VI made different types of triangles and proved some properties of triangles by measure and paste diff. Type of triangle in their note book also. Teacher shows different types of triangles with the help of  modle. There is also a Mathematical Garden which  the students can access for joyful learning. Congruent activity has been made with the help of real objects, glace paper. Students pasted two real blades, two duplicate same rupee, Two similar shapes of some size in their note book. Students understand the typical concepts of Pyramid and prism when teacher shows prism and pyramid in real. Prism and pyramid are also being made with the help of glace paper and paste them in note book. Shapes of triangle, Pentagon, and other geometrical shapes are being made with waste materials like Tubes, brooms, match sticks Glace paper, Thermocol Cardboard etc. Teacher prove basic formula of area of triangle circle, trapezium, cylinder etc. Then activities related on above formula are also being made by students with the help of glace paper, chart in their note book. Modals are also being made by students of Class - IX with economical material like thermocol, Brooms, Card Boards, wood etc.

In such a way Mathematical Laboratory has been prepared by the students for the students with the help of teacher for joyful experience. Mathematical Garden is also the centre of attraction where the students can understand the concepts of Geometrical shapes by play way Method.

Resource Room

We have a resource room fully equipped with maps and charts of worlds, continents, different countries, India , states of India, maps of History and charts in Civics. There is also a overhead projector(OHP) and globes. All these maps ,charts and globes are being used regularly and compulsory to make the lesson easy and interesting. A notice board has been kept, on which cuttings from newspapers, magazines etc. are displayed to increase knowledge of students in History, Rotitics, Geography and Economics.

Overhead Projector is used to make the lessons more effective. This room is maintained by Mr. D.P. Singh, TGT(Social Studies).
